Job Description

As a Surgical Staff Nurse, you will look after general surgery patients including Orthopaedic, Urology, Bariatric surgery, Plastic surgery, ENT, and Ophthalmology.

Responsibilities: 

  • Supporting patients recovering from a range of different surgeries whilst providing high-quality care.
  • Working with a high-performing team of experienced nurses who constantly receive excellent patient satisfaction feedback.
  • Actively promote best practices and contribute towards quality improvements.
  • Competent in making safe discharge decisions working with our consultant team.
  • Liaising and networking with other departments across the hospital.
  • Identifying and reporting any significant changes that might affect the patient’s health and well-being.
  • Develop your knowledge and skills and that of others.
  • Promote best practices in health safety and security.

Ideal Candidates / Qualifications: 

  • Qualified Nurse who holds a valid NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Min 1-year experience post-qualifying
  • Must have surgical or acute ward setting experience
  • Passionate about providing excellent clinical care

Salary:

£30,000 – £37,000 per year
