Job Description

As a Theatre Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse, you will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs. You will actively promote best practices and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organize data, interpret all of the information, and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others.

Responsibilities: 

  • Caring for patients undergoing procedures.
  • Providing exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative stage.
  • Assisting in the management and organization of care provision within the Scrub/Recovery team in the operating department.
  • Acting as either a Scrub/Recovery Practitioner across a range of clinical specialties.
  • Working across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Assessing patient needs, implementing, and evaluating their care.

Ideal Candidates / Qualifications: 

  • You will be an HCPC-registered ODP or an NMC registered Nurse with no restrictions.
  • At least 2 years of Orthopaedics Scrubbing experience.
  • Can work on rotation in different specialties if required.
  • Excellent communication and organization are key to continuing our high patient care standards.

Salary:

£25,147 – £25,596 per year
